Smart Transportation Means Bigger Profits
With soybeans grown in North Dakota leaving the state by truck and rail, soybean farmers know the importance of the transportation infrastructure in the United States. The North Dakota Soybean Council (NDSC) understands farmers have a strong interest in ensuring the existence of a safe and efficient transportation system. The ability to move soy from the farm to domestic and international markets proves to be a significant factor in farmers’ bottom lines.
To maintain the soy industry’s competitive position in the global market, NDSC understands the need to invest in our nation’s aging and increasingly inefficient transportation infrastructure.
Soy Transportation Coalition
Since 2007, NDSC has been a member of the Soy Transportation Coalition (STC). STC aims to position the soybean industry to benefit from a transportation system that delivers cost-effective, reliable, and competitive service.
The coalition comprises the following organizations:
- Numerous other Qualified State Soybean Boards
- The American Soybean Association
- The United Soybean Board
- The National Grain and Feed Association — ex officio member
- The National Oilseed Processors Association — ex officio member
